My first donated mural was for an event raising money for scholarships at Palomar College. I painted this scene on canvas as a backdrop for the "San Marcos, Early Years" themed event. It was a great event, and in the end the mural was auctioned off, raising even more for students in need. It was later stretched and installed at Hunter Irrigation Systems in San Marcos.
I can't believe how for I've come since this mural! Learning on such a BIG scale has made all the difference in the world for me. There are no little problems when you're painting a 9ft by 15ft mural, they're all big problems! Learning the importance of precise planning, and using only the highest quality materials were my take away from these early jobs. I'm so blessed to have had the chance to work with such supportive people in my first year of being a muralist. Their support helped me develop into the professional artist I am today.
